We are committed to our patients. Eliminating dental disease and maintaining your oral health are our primary concerns. We strive to provide you with the best available dental care by regularly attending continuing education classes and by remaining current with the practices of our profession.
You will find our dental office to be comfortable, friendly, and stress free because we treat our patients the same way that we would like to be treated. By going the extra mile with every patient during every visit, we establish long-lasting relationships that benefit us all.
Infection Control
When you visit our office, you can rest assured that we have taken stringent precautions to protect you from infectious diseases. We follow all procedures established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and by the American Dental Association (ADA) to ensure the safety of our patients and staff as follows:
- We use disposables only once.
- We disinfect each examination room between patients, which includes disinfecting the chair, surfaces, light, X-ray machine, and dental unit.
- We disinfect all instruments that are not disposable, after use to prevent the transmission of disease.
- We clean instruments with an ultrasonic cleaner, rinse, and then wrap or bag them in disposable coverings, which we place in an autoclave that sterilizes the instruments with steam under pressure.
- The autoclave is monitored on a regular basis by Emory Medical Laboratories to ensure that sterilization is achieved.
- Instruments remain wrapped until use.
- Our staff wear gloves, masks, protective eyewear, and jackets with sleeves that are gathered at the wrist.
- In accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration Bloodborne Pathogens Standard, we attend training annually to remain current with infection control practices.
