The Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends that children be seen by a dentist after the first tooth has appeared. Our office welcomes patients two years of age and older for routine examinations, sealants, and fillings.
Sealants are a thin, plastic coating that is painted on the biting tooth surface to fill in the pits and grooves. Although anyone can benefit from this service, sealants are generally placed in children, on the permanent molars as they come in, to reduce the chances of decay.
